The AIS high-tech paint center uses a down draft electro-static charge system. The temperature is controlled in the paint booth by a 5.5 million btu heat system. Paint is applied at a temperature of 82-85°F and baked on at 180° for 30 minutes. Two machines can be painted at one time.
The paint process uses a deep base prep coat plus two or more full colors to produce the custom AIS look. After a cool-down period each machine is carefully cleaned and the masking paper is removed.
Cleaning-Degreasing: Thorough cleaning of each machine, using high pressure, hot water and detergent cleaners, is a vital step.
Shot Blasting: The shot blast method used by AIS cleanly and efficiently strips each unit down to bare metal.
Prepping for Paint: Prepping each unit for the paint operation is another important step.
Paint Booth: The 80-foot paint booth can be divided into two units - one 50 feet in length and the other 30 feet.
Custom Decals: Applying AIS custom decals helps enhance the final professional appearance our customers deserve.
Final Inspection: A final inspection by the Paint Center Manager provides further customer satisfaction of a quality product.
