Summer Technician Entrance Program (STEP)

HETI-STEP - Heavy Equipment Technical Institute’s Summer Technician Entrance Program - Is a Nine Week hands-on education and training program taking place during the summer following graduation from high school. STEP participants start the Application Process at: www.aistraining.com/register. Interviews take place during March and April with final enrollments decisions made in May.

The program starts mid-June and completes the second week in August. Participants successfully completing STEP will have the opportunity to continue employment with AIS Construction Equipment Corporation and earn credits towards their Certificate of Completion at the AIS Heavy Equipment Technical Institute and/or earn the opportunity to receive college tuition reimbursement. In lieu of tuition reimbursement, student may have the option to receive a tool purchase allowance.
